Google Summer of Code 2014

March 10, we will begin accepting applications from students to participate in the Google Summer of Code 2014 (GSoC) program.

For ten consecutive years, we have been inviting students around the world to spend their summers not on the warm sea, but to devote 3 months of vacation to working on an interesting open source project under the strict guidance of one of the GSoC participating organizations. This year, we selected 190 open-source organizations , whose work on projects which students and graduate students over 18 years old will have a hand in.

Last year, more than 4 thousand students from 94 countries sent their applications for participation in Google Summer of Code . About a thousand students ( 37 of whom come from Russia) were selected to participate and were given the opportunity for three months to learn from experienced developers and independently write, test and debug open source code.
