August 1 - All-Russian Internet strike (# Law Against the Internet)

On August 1, 187-FZ entered into force .
Better known to the general public under various epithets: “anti-piracy”, “law on arbitrary blocking”, “Russian SOPA”.
Or simply - the law against the Internet .
On Habré, this law has already been discussed more than once, as it was examined by the State Duma with lightning speed, it was approved by the Federation Council with the speed of light and the president inevitably signed it.
Here, one of the options for the protest blocking of their resources with the help of a script stub was collectively developed , banners were proposed and posted in support of the petition for the abolition of 187-FZ , were developedinformation plugins and applications , other options for further actions were developed .
You probably heard about the offline promotions on July 28, which took place all over Russia, from Moscow to Khabarovsk under the slogan "For free Internet" , one of you participated in them.
Today the day has come for the massive expression of their position already online, in the territory for which the battle is going. Another attack on the Internet has been launched. You can keep silent and philosophically observe the development of events. But indifference is known to kill. Then they will come for you .

So, the day has come for the All-Russian Internet strike.

This protest does not have a single form and, in principle, cannot be - every Internet resource is original, tied to certain patterns of interaction, legal and informal relationships. Therefore, despite the ideal strike method, when the Internet resource is completely turned off for a day, with a stub put up, other forms of online protest are quite acceptable: installing the script stub mentioned above, placing informational banners, notifying members of their social groups posting, etc.
Here are examples of self-contained stubs that have literally caught my eye right now: tritium , toby3d , snk-games , twitnow , colorwebdesigner , etc.

So take as a basis any design / script / banner you like and go to virtual barricades!
Of the largest Internet resources, those who spoke out against 187-FZ earlier, were the first to set an alert on their Mail.Ru home page :
