DALER: and crawls and flies (device with remote control)

Yes, the statement “Born to crawl cannot fly” is not always true. A remote control device developed by Ludovic Daler can do both. A device called DALER (Deployable Air Land Exploration Robot + author’s surname, yes) crawls at the speed of a turtle, and the movement of the device on the surface of the earth is similar to how sea turtles move on the sand.

By the way, he can crawl on almost any surface / rough terrain, including snow, asphalt, ordinary soil.

It flies well too, however, DALER cannot take off on its own, you have to launch it, as they say, manually. The flight path can be changed by changing the configuration of the wing in flight. Landing, the device can crawl to its owner, allowing it to remain in place.

In general, the device is interesting. Personally, I like the flying machine on the radio more, but DALER is also nothing. And yes, so far this is only a prototype, probably in the near future we will see improved versions of a crawling-flying robot.
