The first open-source-hardware product was developed by the Cubieteam team back in August 2012. During 2012, and at the beginning of 2013, the team did not present a single product. But one of the developers of the Cubieteam team, said that the project has already reached a new technological level comparable to industrial solutions. This is not the same small project designed exclusively for technology lovers. We have made a massive product for the market, which is distributed by large suppliers.

Each step of the Cubieteam team is very complicated and difficult, but the team is very happy about the success. Cubieteam is a small team with several young people who do not have business experience, company management skills, but love modern technology. The Cubieteam team is united by a common dream: "Creating a cheap mini-computer and sharing technology with geeks from around the world."
It was a big surprise for us when we received more than $ 90,000 to start producing Cubieboard. We received this money from enthusiasts, friends, and those who want to receive the coveted payment, by prepayment. Over the past year, a lot of people contacted us to change the product, which made making the product not an easy task. The Cubieteam team is limited in its ability to do more projects, but does not want to disappoint fans, and despite all the difficulties continues to work.
Every year, embedded technologies are improved (embedded SOCs). We are proud to be at the peak of modern technology. And based on the suggestions in the forums, from customers, the Cubieteam team decided to develop a second open-source hardware product. This is another PCB board model called CubieTruck.
