The network posted a 34-gigapixel panorama of Prague

On Habré, more than once or twice, news was published that a photographer or a private company / organization posted a gigapixel panorama of Moscow / London / Mars on the Web. This time the Network posted another similar panorama, the panorama of Prague , which breaks many records in detail and resolution.

So, Jeffrey Martin, photographer, author of the project, took 2600 individual shots, located on the Petrin tower. He spent an hour and a half on this tower with a Canon camera and accessories for it. The case involved 1-Dx, 28-300 optics, and 8-15 fisheye. After combining all these photos, we got a panorama with a resolution of 260,000 x 130,000 pixels.

To create a panorama, the help of Fujitsu Technology Solutions Europe was needed, which offered powerful equipment with two quad-core Xeon processors and 192GB of RAM.

By the way, if you print the panorama (150 DPI in total), you get a photo almost 40 meters long.
