AppCode 2. Made as it should

We are pleased to announce that AppCode 2.0 is officially available today. In this release, we have added support for the popular Kiwi testing framework. Two external documentation browsers, Dash and Ingredients, are integrated into the new AppCode.

AppCode would not be itself if it had not acquired a whole bunch of “smart” features, including: new refactoring, advanced code generation capabilities, improved support for writing code and its analysis, and much more.

Here are just some of the new release features:

    • An expanded and improved set of refactoring , including Move / Copy / Clone , as well as Pull Members Up / Push Members Down .

    • Added more than 2,000 messages from the Clang compiler, which are displayed directly in the editor. When you run code analysis in batch mode, diagnostics from Clang Analyzer are displayed.
    • Objects from Core Data are now displayed in the debugger .
    • Improved support for iOS devices , including the ability to run tests and Instruments.
    • Even more code generation features : now you can easily surround the code with if -respondsToSelector: checking, automatically add -IsEqual: and -hash, -description, -copyWithZone :, -initWithCoder: and -encodeWithCoder: methods .

    • And much more ...

Now AppCode supports XPath and Emmet, guarantees full compatibility with the latest version of Xcode. The IDE has become even faster, support for version control systems has been expanded, icons for retina screens have been added, and for a better concentration - a dark Darcula user interface.
