The 20 largest domain sales in history
Today, DNJournal first published a list of the largest sales of domain names in Internet history. It included transactions for the sale of domains from 2003 to the present. If new millionth deals are recorded, the list will be updated.
DNJournal notes that the company began to track transactions for the sale of domains and check information about them only at the end of 2003, so domains sold before that time were not included in the rating. There is great doubt about the truth of the information about transactions of that time, because at that time it was not checked in any way, and many claimed sensational prices for buying or selling a particular domain in order to promote their site or increase the value of a keyword. Also, many transactions of that time were not cash sales: this could be an exchange with surcharge, in which the declared price was paid only partially.
We also note that the list includes only sales of domains in their pure form, and not of Internet projects or entire companies along with domains registered in her name.
