Business Card Reader 2.0 for Android - Now with its Business Card Holder

Earlier this month, I received an update to version 4.99 of Business Card Reader for iPhone , and just the other day, the second version of the application for Android devices was released.

The most noticeable change in the updated application is the appearance of a “card holder” (it’s not new to BCR in principle: iPhone owners have already appreciated its advantages). The business card holder makes it possible to save recognized business cards in a special archive of the application, and if desired, transfer them to the device’s address book.

The advantage of a card holder is that in it the user stores detailed information about contacts, including the image of a business card, without overloading the address book and without mixing business and personal contacts. For example, it is very convenient for sales managers who can collect up to 100 business cards at one event. Together with a business card holder in the new BCR, it became possible to edit data directly in the application, exchange business cards and contacts by mail or SMS and find an office on Google Maps or Yandex.Maps.

Now the application is very simple and convenient to search for the right people: the new BCR can structure information by name, surname, organization and the date the contact was recorded in the archive. For example, it’s so convenient to find those whom the user added the night before at a banquet. Another small, but very important function is the ability to create your own contact groups, linking them to a specific topic.

If you want to familiarize yourself with BCR 2.0, you can download the Lite version of the application for free , it contains all the functions of the Full version, but the number of business cards for recognition is limited.
