Paypal conducts 60% of web transactions, Google Checkout is far behind

Google Checkout is the fastest payment gate with an average payment time of 0.26 seconds. But this is not too reflected in its popularity. The New Relic monitoring service conducted a small study (21 thousand customers, 109 thousand transactions) and published statistics on processing speed and the number of transactions for each payment system.

Maybe the selection is not too large, but Google Checkout fell already in fifth place among all the gates, losing even to the new startup Stripe (a payment service created by "programmers for programmers" ), which was already mentioned on Habré.

New Relic study results infographic. During the test period, from January 13 to April 20, 2012, 113,626 calls were made, of which 66,059 went through Paypal, 17,991 through Authorize.net, 7150 through USAepay. Fourth and fifth place went to Stripe (4548) and Google Checkout (3407).
