QIWI Wallet in Q3 2011: figures and events

    imageWe want to share some data on the development of the QIWI Wallet system in the third quarter of 2011.
    To begin with, a few figures: over this period, more than 17.9 billion rubles passed through QIWI Wallet, the company's turnover for the first three quarters of this year amounted to more than 43 billion rubles. In the previous reporting period (second quarter of 2011), the turnover amounted to 14 billion rubles. - accordingly, we see an increase of 24.8%. If compared with the same period in 2010, the growth was 166%.

    The main directions of the company's recent development have become safety, mobility, work with government. sites and going offline.


    For all System Wallets, the SMS confirmation of payments option was enabled. The authorization system in applications for smartphones and social networks has been improved. Applications for Windows Phone 7 were released - long before the official release of the platform itself in Russia, the appearance of international versions of applications for Android and WP7 - now residents of Kazakhstan and Ukraine can log in to them.
    A number of new Russian air carriers appeared in the system, including Aeroflot.

    A very important project for us was implemented together with the Federal Tax Service of Russia. Now users of our system can pay taxes simply and conveniently, online.
    In the QIWI Wallet offline, our first partner was the KillFish bar network in St. Petersburg. It is enough to tell the bartender your phone number, and in a minute a USSD request will come to him. By pressing one key, you immediately pay the bill from your QIWI Wallet.

    The list of Wallet replenishment options has been expanded. We were joined by Svyaznoy and Euroset salons, as well as terminals of payment systems such as Free Cash Register and Express Payment. Thus, more than 3,000 new terminals became available to users. Also, we joined the ATM network of Master Bank and Gazprombank with a total of 5,500. Replenishment through them, as in most cases, is free of charge.
