Online video players - how to improve their interface

One of the problems when watching online video is when downloading content to the player is slower than playing it. I want to see something right away. They clicked the play button, and the video slows down, it constantly stops due to lack of content. And Internet connection speed is not always the bottleneck, the reasons may vary. But still, what to do? OK. We pause and wait for the video to fully load into the player and then watch.
Or, an accelerated version, we are waiting for the moment when the content is not fully loaded into the player, but nevertheless in sufficient quantity so that when playing an already downloaded video, the remainder could be fully loaded. And here we have to evaluate the download speed “by eye”. Common situation?

Actually an assessment of the ability to play video without brakes is proposed and included in the interface of online players.

The first picture here is just for example. The YouTube interface is well known to everyone.

In the second picture, the actual visualization of the idea. Pay attention to the content loading scale. In this example, we believe that the player rated the video download speed as good, estimated that he will manage to get all the content while the existing one is playing and highlighted the loading bar in green. Letting the user know that now you can click play and comfortably watch the clip to the end without brakes.
Well, if the player assesses the situation as not very good, believes that he will not have time to pump up content, then he accordingly shows the standard scale - red.

I hope that this idea has the right to life.
