Bada SDK 2.0 released
Following the newly released Samsung Bada 2.0 mobile platform, a development tool for it appeared. The new SDK can be downloaded from here , and the following can be noted from the innovations:
UPD : I apologize to a respected audience for the annoying misunderstanding. I already felt my karma punishment with interest.
- Multitasking. One of the main drawbacks of Bada was eliminated (although SDK 1.1 described a certain way to launch applications in the background, but the developers honestly called it “pseudo-multitasking”).
- Improved support for Flash and HTML5.
- Developers gained access to the platform buffer.
- New navigation styles Footer, Header and TabBar. Called UI 2.0, this feature represents the ability to create blocks of controls, respectively, at the bottom, top of the screen and in a kind of horizontal menu.
- Relative has been added to possible layouts. It’s hard to imagine the details from the description, but, apparently, the functionality is similar to the RelativeLayout in Android.
- Added support for NFC (Near Field Communication) technology, which is most often mentioned in the context of the use of contactless payments.
- Two new classes ServerChannel and ClientChannel have been added to exchange data between applications . The names are relatively loud, while the difference (or similarity?) From Intents in Android is also not clear.
- Special classes for managing Wi-Fi Direct - the ability to communicate devices without a hot spot.
- New API to support targeted advertising. Two components ImageBanner and TextBanner are offered. The following actions are available on clicks: go to the browser using the advertiser's URL, automatically dial the number provided by the advertiser (a potential opportunity for scammers?), Go to the Samsung Apps Store.
