Welcome to Debian Day!

    The Debian development team invites you to participate in the upcoming event called “Debian Day”, which will take place on July 24, 2011 at the Banya Residence (Banja Luka, Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina) and will open the annual Debian Developers Conference “DebConf11”.
    The conference is open to anyone interested in the Debian operating system and free software. We invite enthusiasts, users and developers to participate in the development of the Debian project and talk on topics such as the use of free software in government agencies and enterprises.
    Debian Day opens with a plenary session and a welcoming speech by Adnan Hodzic, after which the following reports will be presented:
    • Ubuntu and Debian in Public, Education, and Business (Mark Shuttleworth);
    • The ideology of Debian (Bdale Garbee);
    • How I live with free software (Enrico Zini);
    • How to contribute and participate in the Debian project (Alexander Reichle-Schmehl and Meike Reichle);
    • Debian in Manufacturing: A Case Study of Google (Guido Trotter and Jesus Climent);
    • Austrian Electronic Health System (Gerfried Fuchs).
