Open lecture by Sir Tony Hoar: “The Greatest Ideas of Computer Science”



    Friends, we are pleased to announce that Sir Tony Hoar will come to us very soon (the one who invented quick sorting and Hoar logic, whose research group worked on the Z specification language and the parallel model of the interaction of sequential processes, and today is the leading researcher at Microsoft Research in Cambridge) .

    As part of the Skolkovo Open University, Tony Hoar will deliver lectures on “ The Greatest Ideas of Computer Science ”.

    Great ideas are timeless. They repeatedly appear in human thought, in different thoughts and in various forms. A leading researcher at Microsoft Research in Cambridge will trace the particularly important technological ideas of the Ancient Greeks and voice philosophical questions that scientists still have not found answers.

    Lecture will be held : July 25 at the Polytechnic Museum (Moscow).
