This time, the Sony BMG Greece website was attacked , and a database was stolen containing logins, e-mails and real names of registered users.

Chester Wisniewski, senior security adviser at Sophos, said today that the invasion was carried out using SQL injection, which allowed attackers to inject malicious code into the Sony BMG Greece website.

Vishneski believes that SQL injections were used, which looked for vulnerabilities on the site.

“Actually, it all looks like an old hacking school,” said Vishneski. “I was pretty surprised to find out that Sony had overlooked it, considering how easy it was to find.”

He added that in order to conduct such an attack, one does not need to have serious hacking skills.
