  • Android News
    • Announced the release of Android Honeycomb 3.1. [ Link ]
    • The next version of Android will be called “Ice Cream Sandwich” and combine Android Gingerbread (phones) and Android Honeycomb (tablets). Thus, one version of Android will run on both phones and tablets. [ Link ]
    • In Android, soon it will be possible to use it as a USB host and it will be possible to work with cameras, keyboards, etc.

    • Guaranteed updates for 18 months, if the equipment allows (a potential loophole!). For comparison: Apple launches a new iPhone every year, but sells the previous model another year. This way you get updates for at least 24 months.

    • Open (free) standard for connecting devices on Android.
