Russian Wikipedia at once overtook two other Wikipedia and came in 8th place

Many have always believed and now believe that the Russian Wikipedia is too low, not corresponding to the status of the Russian language in the world and have always fought and are fighting for a more worthy position of the largest Russian encyclopedia, and indeed the whole Russian-speaking world.

And now, two joyful long-awaited events have just happened, which we have been waiting for three years (since then, since we overtook the Swedes on May 19, 2008 and hit fdts !). Robots came to us, in peace! Now Russian Wikipedia in one fell swoop overtook the Dutch and Portuguese Wikipedia. This was made possible thanks to a major project to create articles on Russian rivers (articles were prepared in advance for several months by living participants , but only now were published at once by the bot).

The overtaking of the Dutch Wikipedia took place on February 24 at 01:12 Moscow time, when the 673,457th article “ Yijidvozh (Chukli tributary) ” (or maybe “ Shukshur ”) written by the LatitudeBot bot appeared on Russian Wikipedia .

The Portuguese Wikipedia was overtaken on February 24 at 01:57 minutes Moscow time, when the 674,395th article “ Kaz (a tributary of Kondoma) ” or “ Kaburchak (a tributary of Kondoma) ”, written by the same bot “LatitudeBot”, appeared on the Russian Wikipedia .
