Google turns off the first version of reCAPTCHA

Google has announced the shutdown of the API of the first version of the popular service reCAPTCHA. From March 31, 2018, any requests for v1 API will stop working.

Beginning in November 2017, some requests for v1 API started to receive notifications about the imminent completion of service support (an example is in KPVD). According to Google, most sites have already switched to the second version of the API , which does not require any effort from the user to solve the captcha - just tick "I am not a robot." This version of reCAPTCHA uses an advanced risk analysis mechanism that allows you to effectively cut off bots and always be one step ahead of the attackers.

There is also an Invisible reCAPTCHA, the main difference of which is the absence of the interface itself. The developer can bind the check to any user action (for example, sending a form) to check users in the background.

If you have not yet switched to the new version of reCAPTCHA, it's time to do it. Go to the admin reCAPTCHA, create a new key and update the client part of the captcha.

Only registered users can participate in the survey. Sign in , please.
