Hotlink to jQuery will be banned from January 31, 2011

imageAccording to Dan Heberden, recently the team serving the jQuery server noticed a significant increase in traffic from sites that host direct links directly to files on their servers (jquery.com, jqueryui.com, dev.jquery.com, etc. ), instead of uploading them to hosting or using CDNs , for which they were created (Google CDN, Microsoft CDN, etc.). Such dynamics negatively affects the performance of their network and does not allow ordinary users to access jQuery sites during peak hours.

In order to improve the performance and accessibility of their sites for all users, they turned off hotlinking to images of their entire network. They will also disable hotlinking for all other types of content (for example, CSS and JavaScript) at the end of January.

Important! If your site has direct links to jQuery domains other than code.jquery.com, keep in mind that you must update your site before this deadline or it will stop functioning normally.
