Intellectual property infringement is rape

Piracy has been a hot topic lately. There are people who believe that this is good, there are Mikhalkov people who believe that this is bad. I will not express arguments in this topic either towards one or the other position. And I myself take a double position (I see both the bad sides and the good ones). I would like to criticize the common practice of copywriters to call things by their own names, namely, copyright infringement - theft. This is nothing more than demagogy, a substitution of concepts in order to attract the uneducated masses to their side, although these concepts have very little in common. In any dispute, things must be called by their proper names and piracy is called theft - this is the same as saying:
Piracy is the rape and murder of two or more women who have not reached the age of majority (children !!), knowingly for a guilty person in a state of pregnancy, committed with particular cruelty by a generally dangerous method of a group of people, a group of people by prior conspiracy or organized group based on national, racial, religious hatred or enmity, or based on hatred or enmity against any social group.
The most ordinary. We all understand how serious and terrible a crime this is, why do many countries turn a blind eye to intellectual pirates and allow them to kill our women, children, old people, ruin our health and education, sabotage and cut down the root chance of a happy existence of our nation?

Once again, this article does not claim that Infringement of copyright and related rights is good or bad. She only claims that calling piracy theft is wrong.

    Let's go to the wiki

Theft (Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) is the secret theft of another's property .

Property - a set of things that are owned by an individual, legal entity or public law entity (including money and securities), as well as their property rights to receive things or property satisfaction from other persons.

Things in civil law are objects of the material world that are of value to a person, capable of satisfying the needs of subjects of civil legal relations, and are subject to exchange of goods.

That is, you can only steal an object of the material world, which copyright is not.

But you can call Wikipedia a "non-authoritative source." Then we turn to the "Criminal Code of the Russian Federation." Is this an authoritative source?

Criminal Code of the Russian Federation

    Conclusion

Theft is as much piracy as is rape killing. These are not only different articles, but even different chapters of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. And the statement “When you download illegal content, you steal” is as true as “When you download illegal content, you are raping, killing, trafficking people, engaging in terrorism and extremism, and everything else ...”

Moreover, call a person which may violate copyright and perhaps guilty (even if it is proven) under Article 146 of the criminal Code violation of copyright and related rights, a thief - a gross violation of the criminal Code, Chapter 17. Crimes against freedom, honor and dignity of the individual , Article 129 have (Criminal Code) RF slander . Butmany ignore this fact .
