“What is this?”, “But I need it”, “Yes, in the grave ...”

This week we opened a new project under the brand name "Runet Rating" - a site competition. There is a lot of official information about the competition here , it does not make sense to repeat it. I will explain why you even decided to do a contest.

At the heart of all our projects is the "portfolio" of the company / product: almost any other indicator is a derivative of what the company does. The question is how to properly evaluate this very “portfolio”.

For several years now, we have been preparing ratings using indicators of website credibility in terms of search engines. One of the advantages of such a methodology is the absence of a “human factor”. But (and we understood this from the very beginning) there is also a flip side. Many aspects of sites are not susceptible to any automated assessment. Therefore, we decided to go to the "competitive" - to get another, quite important "metric".

In preparing the contest methodology, we were guided by the following principles:
    1. The opportunity should be provided for the full participation of professional teams of any level - from “grands” to relatively small companies.
Therefore, any company with a portfolio of at least 10 projects can submit one application for free. And the cost of participation of the 2nd and following sites is only 1,000 rubles.

    2. The maximum possible objectivity of the results.
The jury of each nomination will include a large number of specialists representing both customers and developers. Voting itself will take place in three stages.

    3. The practical value of the competition results The competition is
held only among professional developers - therefore, its results will become a useful guide when choosing a site development partner. Moreover, developers with quality projects will appreciate this even at the voting stage, because the jury will have many representatives of large client companies.

An attentive reader (and you are,% username%) will immediately have the right question: why reinvent the wheel? After all, there are already contests, and some have been going on for a year. Maybe somehow use their results?

None of the relevant competitions, in our opinion, meets the principles fully formulated above. Each of them has its own strengths - we simply believe that the market needs such a competition as I described above.

    "Not yet"

Applications for participation are accepted until December 31st. You can, of course, pull it to the last (which, according to the experience of rating on “RR”, will be true for many: most of the questions about participation then arose on the last day). But 114 companies with 469 applications “ yes already ”:
