Microsoft Research in collaboration with Wikipedia launched the WikiBhasha project

    The Research Department of Microsoft Research, in collaboration with Wikipedia, launched the WikiBhasha project (Bhasha means “language” in Sanskrit). This project is intended for those Wikipedia editors who want to localize English-language articles (usually much more complete ones) into their language.

    WikiBhasha is an open source project released under the Apache 2.0 license. The project allows to simplify the process of localization of content when translating from English into more than 30 languages. WikiBhasha uses the Collaborative Translations Framework, a cloud-based platform that allows the community to work together on translating a particular text.
