The creators of a simple accessory for iPhone 4 are funded 10 times more than requested

GlifThe creators of the original design holder for the iPhone 4, Thomas Gerhard and Dan Provost (Thomas Gerhardt and Dan Provost) have received more than $ 100k to finance their ideas and continue to gain momentum. Initially, they declared the need for ten times less. Money is collected using the Kickstarter website - a platform for the collective financing of creative ideas.

The holder, called by the authors of "Glif", is an adapter for attaching the iPhone 4 to conventional tripods plus a stand that allows you to set the smartphone to be tilted on flat surfaces.

Glif will be made from Santoprene- hard rubber material. According to the developers, this material is pleasant to the touch and reliably holds the smartphone. In addition, Santoprene is recycled for the second time, which will appeal to environmental fighters.

According to the designers, the idea of creating Glif came to them when they realized that the iPhone was literally the best camera they had. In addition to recording HD video and high dynamic range (HDR) photos, it was clear that Apple was positioning the iPhone as a high-quality portable camera. But due to its small size, the iPhone does not have a tripod mount, which is standard on the vast majority of cameras and camcorders. Although there are solutions for attaching the iPhone to a tripod, they are usually messy and bulky. “Our goal was to create something small, simple and elegant,” the authors state.

On the personal page of the projectfor $ 28 you can pre-order with international delivery or for $ 250 (excluding the cost of the road, of course) to get not only Glif, but also the opportunity to have dinner with its developers in New York.
