This book was awaited by many. Among them was me. Rework impressed me even in the English version. It remained to find out how good he is in Russian.
By the way, in the books of Mann-Ivanov-Ferber publishing house at the end there is information that you can send your favorite book, which in your opinion should be published. And if it is published, your name will be immortalized on its pages. And I sent Rework to them more than six months ago. But the MYTH itself got ahead of me :)

From the first lines you can feel the authors' own rich practical experience, which makes Rework very different from many other popular business books. For example, from “Funky Business Forever” by Kjell Nordstrom and Jonas Ridderstrale, which only speaks about the experience of other companies. David and Jason are honest with us when they talk about their business. It seems that you are talking to them at some party and get the necessary advice. Moreover, the corresponding words and phrases are used: “Copy drug dealers. Make your product fantastically good. Addictive. ”; "Scratch where you itch" (develop what you yourself will use) and so on.
Some chapters resemble demotivators. That is, it seems that the authors write "as if about you, about your company" and go straight to the point. For example, when it comes to overtime, flowing smoothly into the IDB. Because you believe them.

David and Jason act like "myth destroyers" - they take an example of the traditional development of the company and destroy it to the nines. “Why grow? .. Grow slowly and keep track of your feelings - premature hiring for many companies is tantamount to death”; “Do less than your competitors”; “Remember: your day is under siege of constant interruptions. Your task is to win it back! The worst kind of breaks is meetings. ”

Rework is easy and fast to read. Something reminiscent of a mix of “Tack and Do” by Richard Branson and “Partisan Marketing” by Jay Conrad Levinson. That is, two main advantages of the book can be distinguished: it motivates, contains many useful and practical recommendations. Yes, it is worth noting here that this all applies to IT companies. Since for other industries, perhaps some things will not be applicable.
Marketers from departments that do not exist, PR specialists, business owners, startups are required to read.
