Pi. Not popular science

    Pi is a mathematical constant expressing the ratio of the circumference of a circle to the length of its diameter. It is designated by the letter of the Greek alphabet "pi". Pi on Wikipedia. But this is not about that today. In the middle of the working day, a colleague appeared in the office with a certain bundle in his hands. By his agitated appearance, it became clear that he brought something new and interesting. The package turned out to be a not very presentable box of white cardboard. However, a surprise awaited us. The book is the first 10 million characters after the decimal point of the number π (100 lines per page / 100 characters per line). Pros: - line numbering; - good quality paper and print; - the publisher took care of such a nice little thing as a bookmark.

    At the same time, there are several drawbacks:
    - the book with great difficulty got out of the box;
    - the storyline is not completely clear, apparently there will be a continuation. Let me remind you that at the moment 5 trillion decimal places are calculated. This means that in order to see all the signs on paper, one would have to print another 500,000 volumes of the same size. PS The book is published in a single copy and will be presented as a gift. I hope that my post will not spoil the surprise of those who will become its owners.
