Report on Web Standards Days in Kiev. Now officially

    In less than ten days, we are publishing the official report on the meeting of Web Standards Days, held in Kiev on September 18th. As it usually happens, the final program was very different from the previously announced - but only in the direction of its improvement. Six reports were made at the meeting:

    • About designing interfaces and a little about Adobe Fireworks. Vadim Patsev, PDF 1.2 MB ;
    • The web is crooked. Rebirth SVG. Vadim Makeev, HTML 15.6 MB ;
    • Introduction to Web Performance: W3C, Webkit, IE9 and the Future. Nikolai Matsievsky, PDF 4.1 MB ;
    • Web application development. Sightseeing tour. Vitaliy Fishing;
    • An overview of the new JavaScript APIs. HTML5 and W3C standalone drafts. Anton Nemtsev, HTML 750 KB .
    ... and the order of their sequence was compiled on the fly, as speakers appeared, which added some dynamics and surprise to our already boring program.

    And, finally, the most interesting thing, for those who have n’t come to the meeting for nothing . Video recordings of past reports:
