The first firmware version 2.2 for HTC Desire has been released, compiled from source - OpenDesire

I want to please all owners of HTC Desire (and not only) - a few hours ago on XDA-developers forum has laid firmware , fully assembled from source (AOSP - Android Open Source Project) , rather than a port of the Nexus One firmware.
This means that start-ups based on source codes have been launched, which theoretically promises a more stable and faster firmware for our gadgets. At the moment, the version has the number 1.1 (compared to 1.0, Google applications were added), in version 1.1a the appearance of SuperUser (root access) is promised.
The camcorder and FM do not work yet, as well as on ported assemblies, but it all depends on how soon HTC releases a new version of the radio firmware.

Now there is a process of downloading / installing firmware on my device, I will unsubscribe about the results.

UPD: The firmware did not go on my device, but I suspect that the ext4 partition is to blame, the firmware is without A2SD. Meanwhile, the firmware has been updated to version 1.1c, added:
    • A2SD + ( so far without ext4 support, I'll wait a little longer )
    • Superuser
    • Spareparts
    • Minor bugs treated.

I managed to install 1.1s, but A2SD +, apparently, does not work yet (AdamG, the creator of the firmware, confirms this and promises a fix), but now at least the ext4 section does not interfere with the download.
In addition, in the next version after 1.1c, the long-awaited support for video recording is promised!
