Flash Destroyer: device to destroy flash drives

As you know, flash memory has a very limited resource of read and write cycles. To test SSDs of various manufacturers, Flash Destroyer (under the Open Source license) was developed , which loads flash drives until they start to fail. The counter shows the process of destroying the EEPROM in real time.

Almost any flash memory module can be destroyed after 1 million write cycles. Flash Destroyer runs at a speed of 736 recording and verification cycles per minute, so it takes about 22 hours to run 1 million cycles.

Source files and drawings for constructing the device are available through Google Code. You can solder it yourself or order a ready-made one for $ 30.
