Disclaimer of information circulated by Oversan-Mercury

Recently, two letters came to the post office one after another, they were connected with McHost. I know her for a long time, because I used their hosting and registered a couple of domains.

Who are Overseas I learned only from the blog of Tyoma Lebedev about their logos.

So McHost is a well-known and deserved hoster, while Oversan is young and assertive and says something to me that he is also unprincipled and deceitful. With external shine and grooming, it seems to rot from the inside.
    (IMHO)

    I bring both letters:

Please be advised that today, 04/06/2010 at 22-00 it is possible to disable all the services of the host.

Information about the shutdown was communicated to the Makhost company on 04/06/2010 at 19-06. The shutdown was initiated by a third party Russian Space Systems OJSC (FSUE RNII KP), with which Makhost has no economic relations.

According to the information of Russian Space Systems OJSC (FSUE RNII KP), the data center, which hosts the equipment of the Makhost company, is no longer owned by Oversan-Mercury. In addition, Machhost equipment is illegally detained on the territory of the Russian Space Systems OJSC. For details, contact (495) 509-12-02. We apologize for the situation and will do everything possible to resolve it quickly.
    Regards,
    Makhost

    And the second letter:

The company “Oversan-Mercury” has distributed untrue information on the nature of economic and partnership relations with the hosting provider “Makhost”.

The Makhost company has a number of documents that objectively reflect the dynamics of the processes taking place in the Oversan holding on the eve of a break in relations.

The Makhost company is a principled opponent of clarifying relationships outside the legal field. However, we strive to ensure that information on the activities of the companies included in the holding is presented objectively and without distortion, without misleading the public. You can get acquainted with documents, diagrams and photographs by contacting the Makhost company at flove@mail.ru or by ICQ 384316136.

At present, we can confirm the following:

The hosting provider “Makhost” was indeed a part of the Oversan holding. Urlichich Leonid Yurievich is a former founder of “Makhost”, as evidenced by the entries in the memorandum of association, as well as a number of other documents.

The Radar data center, located on the territory of RKS OJSC, was built by order of the Makhost company. In order to gain access to the equipment, it was necessary to have permission to work with state secrets, so the engineers of the Makhost were partially registered at ZAO NPO Space Instrument Engineering (a subsidiary of OJSC RKS).

Due to this, Oversan-Mercury or RKS OJSC never had any permissions and licenses for the Radar data center. Communication channels of the Radar DC with the Internet pass through the Oversan-Mercury switching equipment, therefore, in the outside world, the Radar is seen as part of the Oversan-Mercury data center.

Finally, the Oversan-Mercury company has not handed over the communication center and cannot be handed over, since the optics to the communication centers M9 and M10 belong to RKS OJSC, all contracts with operators are concluded at RKS OJSC. Racks of switching equipment on the M9 and M10 belong to OJSC RKS. Therefore, today the activity of Oversan-Mercury is illegal.

There is a conviction that large companies do not consider it their duty to comply with business ethics, this is further strengthened by a broad public relations company on the hub.

PS I have nothing to do with Oversan, nor with Makhost, I am an outside observer.
