We invite you to the round table “Geospatial technologies in mass products”

  • From RSS
On March 30, the round table “Geospatial Technologies in Mass Products” organized by Yandex will be held as part of the 7th International Industrial Forum GEOFORM + .

We want to discuss the business models existing in the market, the possibilities of productive interaction of participants from different market segments. Consider the current state of affairs and the emerging opportunities for cooperation.

The round table will be held in two stages.

The event will begin with a series of reports by representatives of the GIS market and mass Internet services. Among the speakers are representatives of the ScanEx RDC , the Autosputnik navigation program , the Altergeo geo-social network , a number of other well-known companies, and, of course, speakers from Yandex.

Then, the round table “Victory Strategy: Cooperation or Competition?” Will take place directly. To date, two models of further development of the market for mass geographic information services are clearly visible. One, which can be called "cooperative", is based on the development of multiple horizontal and vertical links between services and products. The second, let's call it conditionally “competitive,” is based on building vertically oriented solutions with an extremely reluctant exchange of information between them and subsequent competition for the user.

Obviously, each model has its pros and cons, and probably only one of them will dominate the market in the foreseeable future. What model and why is more suitable for the modern domestic market of mass geographic information products and services - the participants of the discussion should argue on this topic.

We invite all interested and willing to discuss the current situation in the industry and options for its development to participate.

The event will begin on March 30 at 10:30 and end at 13:30. Registration starts at 10:00.

Participation is free. Applications for participation in the round table "Geospatial Technologies in Mass Products", please send in free form by mail to bov@mvk.ru or dnj@mvk.ru

Admission to the GEOFORM + forum itself is also free if you print an invitation from the site without an invitation - a fee of 150 rubles directly at the entrance.

Shnyr Leonid, participant in the discussion.
