Google acquired reMail startup
Just a few days after purchasing the Aardvark service, Google continues its series of purchases by acquiring reMail for an unnamed amount.
reMail is a developer of a powerful email client for the iPhone, one of the advantages of which is over the built-in iPhone Mail.app ability to search in full text on the contents of letters. In addition, reMail has advanced compression technology that allows you to store much more mail directly on your phone, while maintaining the ability to quickly search the entire archive.
What is noteworthy, the founder of the company previously worked as an intern in the Gmail team, and investors are the founders of the Gmail project Paul Buchheit and Sanjeev Singh, now working on Facebook (after acquiring FriendFeed service).
