Is MS the evil empire, and Google the good?

Is it possible to discuss the issue (if not - minus the post, delete)?

Earlier, Microsoft in the programming community seemed to be considered an evil empire, because taking advantage of its monopoly position, integrated the software of smaller competitors into its products, thereby killing them. Right?

But now MS does not do this, but Google does - people are already compiling lists of companies that Google has killed. But Google is an empire of good. So MS is now a kinder empire of good. Is not it so?

I really want to hear opinions on this matter - let's discuss this in the comments, if you do not mind ...
