Google drive

A message appeared in the official Google blog about the upcoming launch of a new feature in the Google Docs service - a “cloud” storage for large files (up to 250 MB).
I note that for many years there have been rumors about the development of such a service from Google, and many geeks even gave it the name - Google Drive. Now the introduction of a similar function is officially confirmed.

UPD: there was a translation of the entry from the official Google Docs blog from fata1ex :
Over the next few weeks, we will present you with the ability to upload files of any type to the cloud using Google Docs, thus providing a place where you can upload files and work with them online. Since Google Docs supports files up to 250 MB in size, which is more than the restriction on attachments in most e-mail applications, you will have the opportunity to create backup copies of image files, photos, archives and much, much more in the cloud. And most importantly, now, instead of carrying USB drives, you can use Google Docs, which is more convenient when working with files on different computers.

This innovation can also help you in teamwork: organizing and sharing information online. For example, an architect can host a huge file with diagrams for a construction company, and a member of the PTA community (Parent-Teacher Association (?), Teachers and Parents Association. Note.per) - graphic files for posters. You can also add these files to a public folder that your team already uses to exchange documents and tables.

In addition to uploading files to Google Docs, Google Apps Premier Edition users can easily download multiple files at the same time and synchronize them with the desktop in real time using third-party applications. Learn more about how uploading any number of files can help your business on the Google Enterprise Blog.

This feature will be added to your account over the next few weeks - look for a notification when you sign in to Google Docs. For more information, check out the Google Docs blog post.
