Accidentally stumbled into the network on such a video:
Very surprised, and then sat down and figured out. Everything is simple and looks like multiplication by a column. First, draw intersecting groups of lines for both numbers. For each discharge, one group of lines is drawn. The number of lines coincides with the number in this category (if zero is in the category, you can draw a dashed line so as not to lose the category). And then on the diagonals we count the number of intersections and collect the result. The method, in comparison with the stobic multiplication, is more visual, in my opinion.
It is true that it is not very convenient to multiply long numbers and numbers, in the digits of which there are many nines, as noted in the comments - there are too many lines. :)
