This weekend at the Science Festival, Moscow State University, together with Google, announced the launch of the Moscow State University’s distance education Internet portal . The main goal of the project is to make education more accessible for talented students from remote corners of Russia and people with disabilities.
Online www.distance.msu.ru distance learning courses, materials from Moscow State University electronic libraries and University’s educational materials on YouTube are available to users . In addition, applicants from any corner of Russia will be able to test their knowledge at online olympiads. These resources will allow you to prepare for admission to one of the best universities in the country and get to full-time olympiads.
The portal was created on the basis of Google Apps for Education, which allows website visitors to create an account on it and gain access to all Google services, including Mail, Docs, Calendar and GTalk. These services will be indispensable for preparing for exams, communication and collaboration with classmates. Registered users will be able to exchange instant messages, receive the latest University news, participate in online competitions and much more. The new Moscow State University website will be especially useful for people who cannot come to Moscow to prepare, enter and study. Today, the University allows not only to remotely prepare for exams, but also to study at some faculties. We hope that thanks to this project, more talented people will be able to get a quality education!
