Fixing the layout of Ilya Birman for MacOS

When I downloaded Ilya Birman’s typographical layout about six months ago , I ran into the following problem: I didn’t have a “ё” in the Russian layout and, horror, “~” and “» ”in English.

In those days, I was still very impressed by Ubuntu and the first thing I did was to edit keylayout files. I don’t know how exactly, but after a while I got a trial version by trial and error.

Yesterday I needed to repeat all these procedures, but instead of picking in the configs I found a utility that allows you to create and edit layouts in the window interface (many, of course, already know about it):
You can download the utility from its official website: scripts.sil.org/ ukelele

    Corrected Layout Version

The version corrected by me can be downloaded (11 Kb).

Installation is similar to the original version:
Download the archive and unzip its contents to the directory / Library / Keyboard Layouts /
After that, turn on layouts in System Preferences → International → Input Menu
    • Russian - Ilya Birman Typography PS / 2
    • English - Ilya Birman Typography PS / 2

After that, I advise you to reboot.

    Comment

If you have problems - the original Birman layout is probably better to remove.
