Oldest domain sold

Investment company XF.com bought the oldest domain on the Internet.

The symbolics.com domain was registered on March 15, 1985, by the American company Symbolics , which wanted to show the public their personal computers optimized for executing commands in the LISP language. These were the first computers, which were called "workstations" ("workstation").

For a quarter century, a domain has never (!) Changed its owner. Just now. The amount of the transaction is unknown, but its purpose is understandable. After all, this is just the perfect investment. The first domain on the Internet will forever remain the first, and its value only grows every year, like the value of any historical exhibit. People will always go there, and the PageRank of the site is almost impossible to destroy, because the domain has already been included in the annals of history.

Today, the World Wide Web has more than 180 million registered domains, and every day their number grows by several thousand. Here is a list of the 100 oldest domains , partially already published on Habré.
