A bit about BlizzCon 2009
BlizzCon is a gaming salon dedicated to Warcraft, StarCraft, and Diablo. This is a key event for all fans of Blizzard games. The two-day program includes “round tables” with the participation of developers and other promotions, during which players can chat with the creators of the games. Visitors will also have at their disposal stands with demos of their favorite games.
This year, BlizzCon will be held August 21, Friday, at the exhibition center in Anaheim, California.
Also this year, BlizzCon will be the first time to be broadcast live over the Internet (in paid streaming video format). 18 hours of broadcasting time include the most important announcements of new Blizzard Entertainment games, exclusive interviews with developers, reports from tournaments in which the world's strongest professional players will meet, Ozzy Osbourne's spectacular rock concert at the closing ceremony and more. The package also includes an exclusive in-game satellite: Murloc infantryman Postrel.
According to Kompyulenta, tickets worth $ 125 were sold in two stages: May 16 and 30, and they were distributed through the online store. All tickets to the BlizzCon 2009 exhibition were sold out in 8 minutes, despite their impressive number of as many as 20,000. Original sources: Blizzard and Compulent official website
