Nikon Coolpix S1000PJ: the first camera with a projector

Today, Nikon has announced the Coolpix S1000PJ digital compact. The main feature of the new camera is the built-in projector, thanks to which you can view the captured photo and video “on the big screen”.

The diagonal of the image that the projector creates ranges from 4 to 40 inches (10 cm to 1 m). In addition to the projector, a regular TFT display is also saved. Its parameters: a resolution of 230 thousand pixels, a diagonal of 2.7 inches.

Other specifications are standard for this class of cameras. The device has a 1 / 2.3-inch 12.1 megapixel CCD-matrix with a sensitivity of ISO 80-6400 fixed range (ISO 80-200, 80-400). The camera also boasts a Zoom-NIKKOR lens with a focal length of 28-140 mm (35 mm equivalent) and a focusing range of 30-100 cm, as well as 5x optical zoom. The maximum video resolution is 640x480 pixels.

The device is equipped with optical and electronic stabilization systems, has 36 MB of internal memory and supports SD / SDHC cards. Also in the Nikon Coolpix S1000PJ there is a function for shooting a movie, which itself activates the desired mode, based on the results of the frame analysis.

The dimensions of the camera are 99.5x62.5x23 mm (without protruding parts), weight - about 155 grams (without battery and memory card). Communication with a computer - via USB.
