Wunbar: "stray for search" on 19 systems

In search of add-ons for FireFox under Wolfram | Alpha , I accidentally stumbled upon an experimental search plugin for FF, which I put without thinking twice (I always have time to demolish it). The first thought that appeared during installation: “Well, they’re arrogant!” - the plugin immediately asked if I want to make it the default search?

Damn him done. I decided to search - I do not understand anything. The result is the usual Google search results. He climbed deeper, climbed to their site - you need to read the manual.

And finally I understood. The thing is simple, like a sledgehammer, but at the same time, absolutely fantastic:

The authors themselves simply called it: A Handy Search Tool (if it’s free to translate into Russian - "stray for search"). The system processes the query string and, depending on the control codes that must be entered at the beginning of the string, redirects the search to or fro (if it does not find the codes, then google).

In total, Wunbar understands 19 systems, and some of them cannot be called search engines even in a nightmare. At the same time, the search needs of the vast majority of users are covered. Here's what they got (right away with the codes, if someone did not figure out the screenshot):
    • Search Systems: g: Google, y: Yahoo, b: bing, ask: Ask, go: DuckDuckGo
    • Information and links: w: Wikipedia (en), wa: WolframAlpha, gm: Google Maps, d: Dictionary.com, i: IMDb, in: LinkedIn, cb: CrunchBase
    • And something else: a: Amazon, e: eBay, t: Twitter, f: Flickr, gi: Google Image, yt: YouTube, hn: Hacker News

Well, where did I start: plus search plugins for FF / IE with the same functionality.
