Are Bay Pirates versus business on information?
From the book of Alexei Polikovsky:
According to the calculations of one of my knowledgeable colleagues, the creators of the Bay make about $ 20,000 / day on advertising. How? They sell three graphic banners. They have 3 times more visitors than on Demonoid. We’re watching Adbrite , Demonoid has 4 million banner impressions per day. Consequently, the Cove has 12 million impressions. Again with Adbrite, the Demonoid graphic banner costs $ 820 for 1 million impressions.
We consider: (820 $ / M) * (12 M) * (3 banners) = $ 29520 / day, with 100% redemption of advertising.
I myself am with both hands for the guys from the Pirate Bay, and above all - as excellent businessmen, PR managers and politicians. With this note, I just wanted to clarify: you should not think in utopian criteria, such as giving up money, etc. I doubt that, sitting on a cheap salary, dissatisfied with life, these guys would have so much fun shown a naked ass to megacorporations and would have easily turned the world upside down.
Twenty-five million people living on the pirate bay have created the largest community in world history, which does not recognize money and rejects the business of information.I read these lines and think it’s good to be naive. The community may not recognize, but the creators - fully recognize.
