Eizo Nanao Office Monitors with Presence Sensor

Eizo Nanao announced the release of large-format office monitors with a built-in sensor for the presence of a person in the workplace.
Using an infrared sensor, the monitor determines whether there is a person in front of it or not. If the workplace is empty, the display automatically enters sleep mode after 40 seconds. Thus, energy is saved, and the company's management receives an additional tool to deal with truants. The range of the sensor is 120 centimeters.
So far, only two models have been announced:
20-inch FlexScan EV2023W-H with VA-matrix and a resolution of 1600x900;
23-inch FlexScan EV2303W-T with TN-matrix and a resolution of 1920x1080.

In sleep mode, the power consumption of monitors does not exceed 0.7 W, while in active mode it ranges from 18 W for a 20-inch and 25 W for a 23-inch model.
According to the executive, the new monitors are about 40% lighter than existing models. The FlexScan EV2023W-H model uses the FlexStand stand, which again, according to the manufacturer, provides a record range of height adjustments - 225 mm. The angle of inclination can vary within 30 degrees, and the angle of rotation within 172 degrees, i.e. in fact, the monitor can be deployed in the opposite direction.

In the Japanese market, monitors will begin to be sold on May 21. Estimated cost of the models is approximately 385 and 460 dollars.
