Satire with brains: in Moscow, for the first time, the festival of crazy scientific theories “Well, also science” will be held

    NITU "MISIS", the popular science project "Gutenberg Smoking Room" and The Brights movement with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation will hold the first festival of scientific humor in Russia - "Well ... science too ! " You haven’t seen this exactly yet: famous scientists and popularizers of science will try to prove the most sensible theories with the help of absolutely accurate and correct facts.

    They will try to convince you of the geometric hypothesis of the theory of reason, prove that all their lives men are only looking for “Tu Samui”, will surprise the crocodile survival mechanism, find a new organ in the human body and tell about the plans of smartphones to capture the human brain. And also turn your brain in several more ways.

    After each of the speeches you will find more than one reason to doubt the prevailing ideas about life and the universe. Your world will never be the same!

    Among the speakers are such well-known popularizers of science as:

    Alexander Panchin - Research Fellow of the Molecular Evolution Sector of the Institute for Information Transmission Problems. A.A. Kharkevich RAS.
    Alexander Sokolov is a scientific journalist, founder and permanent editor-in-chief of the scientific and educational portal Anthropogenesis.
    Alexey Payevsky - scientific journalist, organic chemist. Founder and chief editor of the portal Neuronovosti.ru, scientific editor of the portal Indicator.ru.
    Fedor Senatov - Researcher at the Center for Composite Materials NITU "MISiS", finalist of the scientific battles of radio "Mayak".

    The idea of ​​the festival originated in a popular comic strip drawn by Zach Winersmith, where the scientist presented the point of view that children have the shape of a soccer ball so that they can be thrown across the mountains and thus provide genetic diversity, exchanging with the population of neighboring villages.

    The first festival was held in 2013 at MIT. In Russia, this festival is held for the first time.
