Readers arrive: Foxit eSlick
At the end of 2008, Foxit , the developer of a program for reading PDF files, released information about the imminent appearance on the market of a device (in-house) for reading electronic books. The reader, called eSlick , has been selling recently.
So, the Foxit reader is only 9 mm thick and weighs 180 grams. It looks (judging by screenshots, of course) more or less decently. The 6-inch display in eSlick has a resolution of 800x600 pixels. Well, the board has 128 MB of internal memory, an SD card slot (a 2 GB card is included) and a USB 2.0 port. Supported file formats: PDF and TXT. Not much. But bundled with the reader comes software with which you can convert any text file to PDF. The device features include the ability to play music in MP3 format. One charge eSlick battery enough to update 8 thousand pages.
Foxit eSlick costs $ 299.99.
