Subscribe to antivirus instead of buying a license
When discussing the purchase of antivirus software, I had an idea and an offer to the creators of this very software:
Organize the sale of a subscription to a software product. That is, we have a certain account with a paid extension of the operability of each copy of the product (say, 100 rubles per month), to which an antivirus is attached (or other software that depends on updates). Paid - works, did not pay - does not work. Authorization on the server with each update, the update itself only with authorization with a paid account. Each software installation generates a unique ID, accounts are paid for a certain number of installations. Technically, all this is quite feasible.
Why does it seem to me that this will bring income? Which is easier - now pay 1000r, or 100r every month? For corporate use with n licenses - several tens of thousands now, or a couple per month?
Personally, it’s more convenient for me to pay 100 per month than 1000 right away for a year. And let 100 * 12 be more than this thousand itself - it will be more convenient for me (: And I won’t have to bother with installing new keys, buying them once a year when renewing and manually installing them on the above n computers.
UPD: judging by the comments, many Internet providers provide the opportunity for their users to buy antivirus software in exactly this way. Alas, not all. Thank you all, as I thought, I did not come up with something fundamentally new (:
