New iPhone, iPod and iProd?
Almost immediately after the presentation of iPhone OS 3.0, Apple began distributing a beta version of the new firmware to developers. Inquisitive guys from boygeniusreport quickly enough found information on the upcoming update of Apple's product line in the source code of the firmware.
What was already known:
iPhone First Gen - 0 × 1290
iPod touch 1G - 0 × 1291
iPhone 3G - 0 × 1292
iPod touch 2G - 0 × 1293
New:
iPhone2.1 - 0 × 1294
iProd0.1 - 0 × 1295
iPod2.2 - 0 × 1296
iPhone3.1 - 0 × 1297
iFPGA - 0 × 1298
iPod3.1 - 0 × 1299
Thus, we can expect from Steve and Co. announcements of 2 iPhones, 2 iPods and the mysterious iProd. iProd is most likely the code name of the new device (iProd uct ). And judging by the number 0.1 indicated next to it in the source, this is still a prototype. What about iFPGA? Such a device is unlikely to go on sale.
