
"The right driver." Project diary. Part 1.
About how the idea of the project “The Right Driver ” was born , I wrote in a previous post. Now I want to tell you step by step how an idea came to life. It will be a kind of project development diary in which I will tell you how I did it, what exactly and why.
And also about experiments on the project. And together we will see what comes of these ventures. I hope this "live show" will be interesting and informative. So ... A
little more than three weeks passed from the moment the idea was realized, until the official launch. The speed and simplicity of implementation was inspired by the well-known book 37signals Getting Real (by the way, I highly recommend reading it to everyone).
Evaluation of the relevance of a future project was as follows: I am a normal, sane person, such as myself - the majority. So, if the project is useful to me, then it will be useful to many. Therefore: attendance, monetization, blah blah blah ... The basis of this chain is the self-esteem of my normality, it is important not to make a mistake here :) We'll see later whether I am right or not.
First of all, I wrote on paper why this project is being developed, what "universal" functions it will perform. Prescribed the structure of the content. And the felt boots are clear, which is absolutely important and critical for the project - its filling. “Copy and paste” is not enough - time will be wasted. Content must be authorial and unique.
Then, I thought about how to make money on the project. The final dock showed several respected friends. Their opinion means a lot to me and, having received their worthy assessment of the future project and approval, I executed the first document. Document for potential sponsors. It was not difficult to calculate them, and the next day I engaged in dialing and detour. Due to the crisis, Minsk car dealers, besides a worthy assessment of the future resource, complained about the lack of a budget for image promotion (there is no website, therefore there is no traffic yet, therefore we can only talk about image). After distributing a dozen documents, I realized that the idea had already gone “into the people” and I had no right to “slow down”.
He visited the Minsk traffic police, talked about the project and ... Oh, a miracle! I got acquainted with a “crazy” (in a good way) traffic cop who writes author’s articles, flashes on TV, publishes author’s columns in the press, and develops his “Emergency Theory”. A true enthusiast of safe driving. What I managed to find a common language with him, I considered an excellent omen.
I did not have to come up with situations; I encounter them several times a day. The idea to disassemble them in contrast to my emotional assessment and a balanced expert one came to my mind during a trip with my father. Once again, I got lost on the next "handsome", and my father laid out the situation from a different point of view.
