How to beat Opera Link?
Opera, as many subscribers to this blog probably know, has a very cool function - synchronization (bookmarks, speeddial and other stuff). This miracle is called Opera Link.
I found that synchronization works on the principle of summation: what is on the client is poured onto the server, and what is on the server is received by the client. This is where the ambush lies: if any unnecessary / outdated bookmarks appear on the server, then at each synchronization they merge onto the client (along with the necessary bookmarks). The same problem is with speeddial cells, and if bookmarks and notes in Opera Link can somehow be deleted (one by one and with obligatory annoying confirmation), then once saved speeddial is not subject to editing.
I am sure that there is a way out of this stupid situation, but I could not find it myself.
