Recently, I was puzzled by the question of finding a dedicated server for my startup. After viewing the Russian market, I was horrified and looked at the foreign one, of which I want to share a couple of interesting offers.
For example, renting a quad-core AMD Opteron 2344 HE (1.7 GHz), 4Gb RAM, 2x250GB HDD will cost $ 100, which is comparable to renting a port and server rack in our country.
German company serverloft owns two data centers - in Germany and the USA. I think, like many of me, accommodation in Germany is more suitable, which by the way has a channel with a total speed of 110GBit.

PSS I also thought to build my server. You can take the entry-level for $ 1000, which is really comparable to the year of rental. But port lease and 1U placement will come out only in 3000-4000 rubles. Compare with rent for 3600 per month? It looks different, right?
