Quality Team Already a year and a half in our  discussion group for webmasters, the  participants help each other: they ask questions about indexing sites and share their own experience, as well as learn more about how the Google search engine works. We are pleased to announce that we now have a new  help forum for webmasters .

The interface update is immediately noticeable, but the changes concern not only the external design! The forum structure itself is new; it allows not only quick and easy search for answers, but also encourages active participants who help to answer complex questions in a high-quality manner.

Here are a few features of the new forum:
  • improved search for answers, including among the posts of the old and new forum;
  • rating system that allows you to become a "leading participant" if your answers are recognized as the best;
  • the ability for users, leading contributors, and Google employees to mark questions as “answered”;
  • Improved help center integration and ease of finding content.

Here are the answers to the most frequently asked questions:

Q: What will happen to the old  Google webmaster discussion group ?
A: The group will be archived and available in read-only mode. Many popular questions and answers from the old group have already been moved to the new forum.

Q: If I was a member of an old group, do I automatically become a member of a new forum?
A: We will not move participants from the old group to the new forum, so if you are currently registered as a member of the old group, you will need to register again. The name and profile will also be new, so if you want, you can either re-register your old profile in a new forum, or completely redo it and acquire a new virtual identity (-:

If you are interested in other Google products, we suggest discussing them in the  help forum , and Google advertising programs in the AdSense  and  AdWords forums  .

See you on the pages of the new help forum for webmasters !
